[A hard saying to understand]
Jesus said, \"I am the bread of life...this is the bread which comes down from heaven that one may eat of it and not die\"(John 6:48, 50). And, at that time, listening to these words of the Lord Jesus Christ, His disciples did not understand it, because they did interpret these words in the mundane sense. When they heard this said, \"This is a hard saying who can understand it\"(John 6:60). But Jesus answered, \"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life\"(John 6:63). We must remember that the most importance for us in this world is not physical but spiritual.
[이해하기 어려운 말씀]
예수께서 말씀하시기를, “내가 곧 생명의 떡이로라...이는 하늘로서 내려오는 떡이니 사람으로 하여금 먹고 죽지 아니하게 하는 것이니라”(요 6:48, 50). 그 당시 주 예수 그리스도의 이 말씀을 듣고, 그의 제자들은 그 말씀을 이해하지 못하였는데, 그 이유는 이 말씀을 세상적인 의미로 해석했기 때문이다. 제자들이 이 말씀을 듣고 말하기를, “이 말씀은 어렵도다 누가 들을 수 있느냐?”라고 했다(요 6:60). 그러나 예수께서 대답하시기를, “살리는 것은 영이니 육은 무익하니라 내가 너희에게 이른 말이 영이요 생명이라\\\\"(요 6:63)라고 하셨다. 우리는 이 세상에서 가장 중요한 것은 육적인 것이 아니라 영적인 것이라는 사실을 잊지 말아야 한다.
