[A hard saying to understand] (17) (Did you receive the Holy Spirit when believing?) (너희가 믿을 때 성령을 받았느냐? ②
(1) 「Regenerating Spirit」 means the Holy Spirit, the One of the Trinity (John 3:5-8), who makes the believers to be regenerated (John 3:3-5), once to be completed in the ontological dimension (John 3:4-6), and to be changed from the sinners to the righteous (Heb. 12:23), namely the children of God (Luke 20:36; John 1:12; Rom. 8:16). These mean that the Holy Spirit forgives us from the original sin inherited from Adam, our Father, and bears us again as the children of God. It is everlastingly unchangeable work of the Holy Spirit.
(2) 「Sanctifying Spirit」 means the Holy Spirit, the One of the Trinity (John 3:3-5), who helps us to continually effort through internal and external works for the maturity of the believers, and who would be poured not once but filled until we would die. And so we must bear the fruits of the Holy Spirit through the words, prayer, and our work, and after all, the personality of faith is sanctifying, and will have been sanctified after death
(3) 「Empowering Spirit」 means the Holy Spirit, the One of the Trinity (Acts 1:8; 2:1-5; 4:29-31), who gives the power and gifts to the people and wants to use for His ministry free from the regeneration and sanctification, and who does temporarily give the various gifts to them whether or not to be born again and sanctified. Therefore the gifts of the Holy Spirit are various. We always must fully receive the Holy Spirit in order to enhance His power and gifts within us through the words and prayers.
[Conclusion]
\"Receiving the Holy Spirit\" must not be understood as one. It must be understood as follows: (1) the regenerating Spirit in the ontological dimension, (2) the sanctifying and empowering Spirit in the functional dimension. It is exactly Biblical understanding. The regeneration means ontologically eternal change as once a work (the baptism of the Holy Spirit), and so the truth, \"once a salvation is everlasting\" could be theologically concluded (1 John 3:6;3:9; 5:18), and the sanctification and gifts mean the functional changes, therefore we must receive continuously for the maturity of personality of faith during our physical life until death. And so The Bible says, \"Do not quench the Spirit\" (1 Thess. 5:19). The saints who born again will be a partaker of \"the reward of inheritance\" (Col. 3:24), and \"the rewards according to their work\" (Rev. 22:12; 1 Cor.3:14-15; Dan. 12:3), through their sanctification and works worked by the power of the Holy Spirit. - Hallelujah Amen!
[이해하기 어려운 말씀] (17) (너희가 믿을 때 성령을 받았느냐?) ②
(1) 「중생시키는 성령」은 신자들을 거듭나게 하는 성령(요 3:3-5)으로 존재론적 차원에서 단회적인 사역에 의하여(요 3:4-6) 죄인이 완전한 의인으로(히 12:23), 즉 하나님의 자녀(눅 20:36; 요 1:12; 롬 8:16)로 변화시키시는 성령(요 3:5-8)을 의미한다. 이것은 성령께서 우리를 아담에게서 유전 받은 원죄의 사면으로 하나님의 자녀로 중생시키시는 것을 의미하며 영원히 변함이 없는 성령의 사역을 의미한다.
(2) 「성화시키는 성령」은 거듭난 신자들의 신앙인격의 성숙을 위하여 내외적인 사역을 통하여 우리 자신이 부단히 노력하도록 도우시는 성령으로, 이는 단회적 사역이 아니라 죽을 때까지 계속해서 충만 충만하게 받는 성령을 의미한다. 그래서 말씀과 기도와 자신의 행동을 통하여 성령의 열매를 맺어야 하고, 결국 성화의 과정을 통하여 신앙 인격이 성화되어 가다가 죽은 후에야 비로소 성화가 완성되는 것이다.
(3) 「은사(능력)를 주시는 성령」은 중생과 성화에 구애되지 않고, 하나님께서 사용하시고자 하시는 자들에게 필요한 은사를 주시는 성령을 말한다. 물론, 중생하고 성화과정을 잘 밟아나가는 성도들은 물론, 그렇지 않은 사람들에게도 일시적으로 각가지 은사들을 주시는 성령의 역사를 의미한다. 그래서 은사들이 다양한 것이다. 이 성령은 능력이나 은사들 고양시키기 위하여 말씀과 기도를 통하여 계속해서 중만 충만하게 받아야 한다.
[결론]
“성령을 받는다”는 말씀을 하나로 생각해서는 안 된다. 성령은 (1) 존재론적 차원에 중생시키는 성령으로, (2) 기능적인 차원에서 성화와 능력을 주시는 성령으로 이해해야 성경에서 말하는 성령을 올바로 알 수 있게 된다. 중생은 존재론적 변화로서 단회적인 역사(성령세례)로 영원하기 때문에, “한번 구원은 영원한 구원이다”라는 진리가 성립된다(요일 3:6; 3:9; 5:18). 그리고 성화와 은사는 기능적인 변화로서 계속적인 역사(성령 충만)로 신앙인격의 성숙을 위하여 우리의 육신이 살아있는 동안 죽을 때까지 반복적으로 받아야 한다. 그래서 “성령을 소멸치 말라”고 했다 (살전 5:19). 성령으로 중생한 사람은 “유업의 상”(골 3:24)을, 성령의 능력을 인한 성화와 사역에 따라, 즉 각자가 행한 대로 “보상의 상”(계22:12; 고전 3:14-15; 단 12:3)에 참여하게 될 것이다. 할렐루야 아멘! 😄😄😄
