평행선을 달리는 부부 관계(Men And Wives Would Never Be One)-영어/한어
There are some couples who claim they have never quarreled since getting married, but this is an exception. Most couples argue and quarrel.
When conflicts increase, some take marriage classes or seek counseling. That s good. It helps. However, no matter how hard the couples try, their conflicts never disappear completely. This is because there is a relational gap that cannot be narrowed between man and wife.
This gap comes from the fact they are male and female. It also come from the difference in their personalities. Or it may be a result of their different upbringings.
Trying to eliminate this gap entirely is neither realistic nor desirable. Seeking a conflict-free relationship may actually intensify conflicts rather than resolve them.
This relational gap is not something to eliminate but to celebrate. Husbands and wives can complement each other. Their differences can actually help stabilize their marriage, similar to how a train runs more safely on two parallel rails than a monorail.

결혼한 후 한 번도 싸운 적이 없다는 부부들이 가끔 있습니다. 그러나 이것은 예외입니다. 대부분의 부부들은 다투기도 하고, 싸우기도 하면서 삽니다.

이러한 간격은 남성과 여성이라는 차이에서 옵니다. 타고난 성품도 한 몫을 합니다. 자라온 배경도 영향을 미칩니다. 그러므로 부부가 서로를 완전히 이해한다는 것은 불가능합니다. 이러려고 할 때 오히려 갈등이 심화될 수 있습니다. 이러한 간격을 인정하고 수용하는 것이 최선입니다.
부부 사이에 평행선을 달리는 간격이 있다는 것이 나쁜 것이 아닙니다. 유익한 것입니다. 이러할 때 부부가 서로 모자라는 점을 보충해줄 수 있고, 가정이 더 안정적으로 될 수 있기 때문입니다. 모노레일보다 평행한 두 레일 위를 달리는 기차가 더 안전한 것과 마찬가지입니다.
