온라인 예배 지속해? 중단해?( Should We Continue with Online Service?)-Korean/English
위드코로나의 시작과 더불어 정상적인 예배를 드릴 수 있는 날이 성큼 다가왔습니다. 대면 예비가 가능해 지면서 많은 목회자들이, 그동안 드려왔던 온라인 예배를 계속해야 할지, 중단해야 할지, 고민하는 것 같습니다.
제 생각에 온라인 사용 자체를 중단할 필요는 없을 것 같습니다. 온라인으로 새벽 예배를 가지니까 예배 참석자가 부쩍 늘었다든가, 삶공부를 온라인으로 가지니까 집중이 더 잘 되더라는 간증이 많이 있기 때문입니다.
그러나 주일 연합예배만은 온라인 예배를 중지하고 대면으로만 드려야 한다고 생각합니다. 하나님은 모임 가운데 계시고, 그 가운데에서 역사하시기 때문입니다. 객관적으로 평가할 때에는 탁월하지 못한 설교지만, 예배 중에 헌신을 불러일으키는 것은, 모임 가운데 계시는 성령님의 역사 때문입니다.
그래서 저는 녹음된 설교나 방송 설교에는 별 가치를 두지 않습니다. 이를 통해 은혜 받았다, 깨달았다, 말하지만, 헌신하거나 삶이 변하는 것은 거의 본 적이 없기 때문입니다. 방송을 통해 설교를 들을 때에 주도권은 시청자에게 있습니다. 설교 내용이 불편하거나 동의가 안 되면, TV를 끄거나 채널을 돌릴 수 있습니다. 들은 말씀에 겸손히 순종하기보다 들을 말씀을 선택하는 사람에게 성령님이 역사할 수 없습니다.
말씀과 예배의 진정한 은혜 체험은, 성령님의 임재 가운데 가능합니다. 성령님의 임재는 '주님의 이름으로 두세 사람이 모인' 회중 가운데에 있습니다.
이러한 이유로, 저는 요즈음 회자되고 있는 인터넷 예배, 인터넷 교회에 대해 부정적입니다. 부득이한 경우 잠정적으로는 제공될 수 있을지 모르지만, 영구적인 것이 될 수는 없습니다. 예배에서는 결신과 헌신이 일어나고, 교회에서는 제자가 만들어져야 하는데, 실제로는 예배를 드리지 않았으면서 예배를 드렸다고 믿게 만들고, 교회에 다니지 않으면서 교회에 다닌다는 착각을 심어줄 것입니다.
연합 주일 예배와 목장 모임은 반드시 물리적으로 성도들이 모여서 가져야합니다. 회집한 곳에 하나님의 임재함이 있습니다.

Our lives seem to be getting back to normal even though the Coronavirus is still active. Many pastors are now considering whether or not to continue online ministries.
I don’t think it’s necessary to discontinue all online ministries. Some have proven to be helpful and valuable. For example, many pastors said that early morning service attendance increased greatly because church members could attend from home. They also said that some Bible classes were more effective online because attendees were more focused.
However, I believe online Sunday worship must be discontinued. It was a useful temporary option due to the circumstances, but the worship that God desires is corporate in nature. The Holy Spirit is present when people get together for worship. Some pastors may not be the best preachers or deliver the best sermons, but their messages may inspire people to make decisions and commitments. It is through the work of the Holy Spirit!
It’s very rare that people’s lives are changed as a result of watching sermons on TV. Viewers can easily turn off the TV or change the channel if they don’t like what the pastor is saying. When people choose what to hear, they are not challenged. The Holy Spirit can’t work on people who choose to listen only to what they want to hear.
Some people believe that we are headed towards a future of online worship and church. I am skeptical because the mission of the church is to reach non-believers and make them disciples of Jesus. It would be nearly impossible to accomplish this through the internet. People may mistakenly believe they worshipped when they actually did not, and they may think they are a part of Christ’s body when they actually are not.
We must worship as a corporate body to experience the power of the Spirit.
