Science and Religion (영문/한글)
On an explanation of the co-relation between religion and science.
It’s a very good idea and an appropriate explanation. In other words, science must be based on and rooted in the physical world. It couldn’t go beyond to religious sphere, that is, spiritual one such as theology or philosophy but only limited to the physical world such as the geosphere or the biosphere which is not spiritual one (noosphere) but physical. For 'the intertwining (dialogue) of science and religion' written by John Polkinghorne (even in the 'natural theology' of the position supported by John Polkinghorne), I think, it is impossible for the science to compromise with theology in the supernatural dimension though possible in the natural world as such. This is my view of the world. I politely ask for your understanding on this matter.

과학과 종교 사이의 상관관계에 대한 설명에 관하여.
이에 대한 설명과 아이디어가 대단히 좋고 적합하다. 다시 말하면, 과학은 분명 문리적 세계에 기초하고 거기에 뿌리박고 있다. 과학은 종교적 영역을 넘어가지 못한다. 말하자면 신학이나 철학과 같은 영적인 영역을 넘어가지 못하고 다만 영적인 세계(정신계)가 아닌 지질권과 생명권과 같은 물리적인 세계에 국한된다. 존 폴킹혼의 작품인 '과학과 신학의 대화'(존 폴킹혼이 지지하는 '자연신학'에서조차도)에 대하여, 내가 생각하기엔, 과학이란 자연세계 자체로서는 가능하지만 초자연적인 차원에서의 신학과의 타협은 불가능하다.
