신경학자인 데이비드 포이펠은 커뮤니케이션이 단어들이 아니고, 전자석 신호임을 이해하는 한, 두뇌들 사이에 텔레파시 커뮤니케이션이 가능하다고 말한다. 뇌가 보내는 여러가지 신호들을 포착하는 자기뇌파검사와 같은 기술들이 특수한 신호들을 포착하여 전달하는데 이용될 수 있다는 것이다. 만일 모르스 코드로 신호를 바꿀 수 있도록 뇌를 훈련할 수 있다면, 헬멧안에 있는 센서들이 그 메시지를 받아서 다른 헬멧으로 보낼 수 있게 될 것이다. (번역: 장바울 박사)
Neuroscientist David Poeppel says that telepathic communication between brains is possible, so long as “communication” is understood to be electromagnetic signals and not words. Technologies like magnetoencephalography, which pick up the various signals the brain sends out, could be used to pick up specific signals and convey them. If you could train your brain to signal in Morse code, sensors in a helmet could pick up the message and send it to another helmet.
