3. Definition of a Heretics:
(이단의 정의)
** Reflect on the following Statement (다음의 진술에 관한 고찰):
Gottfried Arnold (1666-1714, Pietist): "No man is to be deemed a heretics
because his own age so deem him. One is to be judged on his merits, and
even the views of the so-called heretics have their place in the history of
Christian thought." He even push this interpretation of the conclusion that there had been more truth with the heretics than with the orthodox.
아놀드 가프리드(1666-1714, 경건주의자): “아무도 그의 시대가 그를 그렇게 여기고 있기 때문에 이단으로 여기지 않는다. 사람은 그의 장점에 관하여 판단되어지고, 소위 이단의 견해들까지도 기독교 사상사에서 그들의 위치를 점하고 있다.” 그는 정통주의에서 보다도 더욱 이단에 진리가 있다는 결론에 대한 이 해석을 주입시키기까지 한다.
