ÀåºÎ¿µ  2009-07-18 16:59:19, Á¶È¸ : 1,964

2. TIME AND TEMPERAMENT

(1) Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Hyperion: What is time? The shadow on the dial, the striking of the clock, the running of the sand, day and night, summer and winter, months, years, centuries—these are but arbitrary and outward signs, the measure of Time itself. Time is the Life of the soul (McCONNEL 1983, 21)

(2) J. T. Fraser : \"the philosophy of time\" in his ed. work,
\"The Voices of Time\" (N.Y.: G. Braziller, 1966) p. xix.

A person's view of time is a method of discerning his personality...\"Tell me what you think of time and I shall know what to do think of you.\"

(3) Jim Davidson, Effective Time Management:

1) For people in management, time is a commodity to be used, to be manipulated.

2) Time is invaluable resource. When time is not utilized effectively, productivity and money are automatically lost.

3) How you arrange your time is how you arrange your life and in your business, managing time is often synonymous with managing the job.

(4) Richard Bolles (Episcopal priest) has helped prospective employees

1) to see that their use of time is a self-management skill, one that is not only learned but also marketable.

2) The ability to plan, keep appointments and do more in less time affect how your boss thinks of you.

(5) Understanding Time:

1) We must recognize time \"out there\" and importance of stewardship of it as part of the creation over which humanity has dominion.

2) And we must also value \"inner time,\" the internal rhythm which measures the value of events and not just their duration.

3) Time is not external change, but also our life, and how we use it reveals who we are.

4) Clock time is our bank manage, tax collector, police inspector; inner clock is our life.

5) Time has two kinds of it:

¨ç External time: chronological time, external clock.
¨è Inner time: biological time, inner clock (opportunity)
